The figure, partially obscured and enveloped, confronts the viewer with a steady and deliberate gaze. Brass upholstery pins trace the surface, acting as both adornment and constraint—marking the body while evoking notions of labor, protection, and inherited structure.

The scale of the painting invites a more immersive experience and allows the material and conceptual elements to unfold in proximity. The brass elements catch and reflect light, subtly shifting the visual experience depending on the viewer’s position.
